You don't have to go it alone.  Our strong membership comprises both published and unpublished writers of diverse talents offering support and friendship with local monthly meetings, workshops and the chance to enter club competitions. 

The Poetry Competition in July was sponsored by Sutton Arts Council and was open to anyone over 16 who lives, works or studies in the London Borough of Sutton.  The theme was "Suburban Life" and the winners were:
     1st prize:                   South London Summer by Dominic Newman
     2nd prize:                 My Suburban Home by Margaret Shelley
     3rd prize:                  The Shoulder by Norman Smith
     Highly commended:  Suburban Life by Tilly Armstrong.
Runners up were: Martin Goss, Sarah Cox, Ros Black, Geoffrey West, Kathleen Golding & Pat Wilson.
